Mia Chapman, 11, Kali Kinsman, 10, and LauraLee Mercer, 11 are young drivers, but they are already familiar with tough competition, overcoming diversity, and winning races. As three of the few females in short course trophy kart racing, they love to beat the boys in there classes.

MTX loves the adventerous, the exciting and the tough among us, and this threesome 'brings it' on race day. We salute young people in sports, racing and anything else they may go after with passion.

Mia Chapman

Mia enjoyed a championship, seven first place finishes and numerous podium finishes. She has earned 4 championships in 3 seasons in the Lucas Oil Regional ASCC series, Arizona Grand Prix Series and the Whiplash Motorsports Series. Mia’s love for trophy kart racing started when she was two and a half years old. Her first ride was a mini ATV and a few years later at the age of seven, she naturally evolved to short course trophy kart.

Her family inspires and supports her racing career. Mia does not let her passion for short course trophy kart racing interfere with the most important aspects of her life. Even with a demanding race schedule, she is an honor roll student. When Mia is not ripping it up in the dirt she can be found at the asphalt kart track twice a week turning laps in her cadet kart training and honing her driving skills.

Kali Kinsman

Kali raced two separate classes and finished 4th in points in the JR2 class, and 5th in points in the JR1 class. Kali’s love for racing was sparked by her Papa Steve who has a long history in Desert racing and Drag racing as well as her Dad Kyle who came up racing MX. Kali is quickly proving herself in the Lucas Oil Offroad Series this 2013 season where she is currently 2nd in points and the only girl driver in the top ranks of her class.

LauraLee Mercer of Pink Motorsports

When Kali is not ripping it up in the dirt she can be found at the asphalt kart track twice a week turning laps in her cadet kart training and honing her driving skills. Even with a demanding race schedule, she is an honor roll student.

LauraLee Mercer

LauraLee's love for dirt racing, sparked when she was 5 years old. She used to drive the family go-kart and would romp through her Grandparent's back alley way. When the family would go camping, she always wanted to be on an ATV with someone, just to go off-road and get dirty. Her parents and siblings inspire her love for the sport and support her dreams of off-road racing. LauraLee started out with Indoor Kart Racing, where last season she finished 3rd place overall.

When she isn't on a race track, she enjoys playing with her friends and playing the trumpet in her School Band.
